We started our commercial operations in 1993 as a fishing company, and we have not changed our priorities — every season the NWFC fleet goes to sea to catch cod (Gadus morhua), haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus), saithe (Pollachius virens) and halibut (Reinhardtius hippoglossoides) in the Barents and Norwegian Seas (FAO 27, ICES Ia, Ib, IIa, IIb). Our modern factory trawlers extract and process the catch directly in the sea. We provide raw products not only to our factories on the shore, but also supply products to other countries. The vessels and supply chains are certified by MSC and HACCP, the Consortium’s fleet is approved as a supplier to China, Korea, Japan, Europe and the USA and has the relevant registration.
After being brought on board, the catch goes through several stages of processing. Fresh fish is sorted, washed, undergoes UV disinfection and goes for cutting and evisceration. Filleting, portioning and then freezing and packaging. Part of the catch is processed into fishmeal. After that, the finished products are stored in freezers until they are unloaded at the port.
The conditions of the open sea limit the possibilities of technological lines for the production of a large range of products, so, part of our catch goes to the onshore factory or further processing. We send another part for sale and to warehouses of finished products.

NWFC fresh frozen sea fish retains the beneficial properties and taste qualities of a fresh catch. It is not only safe to consume, but also healthy. The high content of B vitamins, PP, Omega-3 and minerals (selenium, magnesium, potassium, etc.) increases its importance in the diet to ensure the functioning of the most important body systems — cardiovascular and central nervous system. Regular consumption of fish also has a beneficial effect on the immune system and positively affects life expectancy.
The NWFC has established supply routes to many regions of the world. A delivery is made by standard refrigerators and 40-foot refrigerated containers from product coldstores and by other means. The vessels, products, productions and supply chains of the NWFC are confirmed by international certificates and have the appropriate permits of the authorities. Supply capacity to other countries and other conditions are discussed on request.
